Kinderhook & Caracas
book
Looking back at a decade of activity of the project space Kinderhook & Caracas, this compendium showcases the work of the 83 Berlin-based artists whose practices have crossed paths through the small room on Kreuzbergstraße and several off-site projects around the city. Founded by artists Sol Calero and Christopher Kline in 2011 and named after their hometowns, Kinderhook & Caracas has focused on the in-depth production of solo exhibitions and unique group projects, developing an increasingly immersive approach over the years. An introduction by John Holten and the collection of original exhibition texts contextualize the projects by offering tangential references, historical anecdotes, and a poetic approach to background research.
