resonaciones – un abrazo para despertar

booklet   exhibition design   flyer

What happens when sounds from the past touch the present? Resonaciones begins by awakening the sounds and frequencies made by whistling vessels from the Andean Moche culture, held at the Linden Museum Stuttgart. They are brought to life by the artists Nicole L’Huillier and Francisca Gili, under the guidance of the Mochica healer and cultural activist Karen Urcia. Through processes of listening and the sensory reception of these sounds, and of transformation and imagination, the ifa Gallery becomes an immersive soundscape. The centuries-old technology of the whistling vessels, with their ability to communicate with non-human life forms is combined with today’s technologies – including artificial intelligence.
