The work of Aereboe, who has remained largely unknown in the art and exhibition world, encompassed a wide range of styles. For the first time in almost 40 years, Zauber der Wirklichkeit. The painter Albert Aereboe includes his most artistically fruitful phase from 1914 to 1930, during which he created magical-looking scenes alongside haunting portraits and cleverly arranged still lifes.
